Digital marketing for doctors that patients can trust

Clear treatment pages, consultation booking, local search visibility and careful advertising for clinics, specialists and hospitals. No promised outcomes, no misleading before-and-after claims, and patient data handled with care.

Why it matters

Patients research a doctor more carefully than most things they buy. They read about the treatment, check qualifications, look at reviews and compare clinics before booking, often on a phone late in the evening. A healthcare digital marketing agency has to earn that trust, not shout over it.

That rules out much of what works in other industries. Healthcare marketing cannot promise outcomes. Ad platforms restrict before-and-after images and any ad that implies the viewer has a medical condition. Doctors are bound by professional conduct rules on self-promotion. And every enquiry about a treatment is sensitive personal data.

We work inside those limits. We build clinic and hospital websites that explain treatments plainly and make booking easy, as we did for Kayakriti, a plastic surgery and dental centre in Lucknow, with clear treatment pages, consultation booking and a custom CMS the clinic team updates itself. We also automated its lead nurturing, and the clinic now generates 500+ leads a month with a higher conversion rate. We set up local SEO so patients nearby find you on Google Maps, run search campaigns for people already looking for a treatment, and follow up enquiries without exposing anyone's health information.

How we work

The process, step by step

Google Business Profile fixes and search campaigns can start in the first weeks. A full clinic website with a custom CMS, like Kayakriti's, took 60 days. Organic rankings for treatment searches usually show first movement in 6 to 12 weeks.

  1. Discovery with your doctors

    Week 1

The treatments you want to grow, the questions patients ask in consultations, your locations, and the claims your practice is and is not comfortable making.

  2. Audit

    Week 1

Your current website, Google Business Profiles, reviews, ad accounts and how enquiries are handled once they arrive.

  3. Website and treatment content

Up to 60 days for a full site

Treatment pages, doctor profiles and booking, with each page reviewed by a doctor before it goes live. Kayakriti's full site with a custom CMS took 60 days.

  4. Local search and campaigns

    From week 2

Business Profile fixes, review requests and search campaigns start while the website is being built, pointing to the best existing pages.

  5. Measure and refine

    Monthly

Enquiries and booked consultations by source, the treatments that attract them, and what to change next month.

Honest fit

Who this works for

Good fit

  • A clinic, specialist practice or hospital that wants more patients for specific treatments.
  • A doctor or senior clinician can review medical content before it goes live.
  • Your front desk can respond to enquiries the same day.

Not a fit

  • ✕You want ads that promise cures, results or risk-free treatment.
  • ✕You want to publish patient photos or stories without written consent.
  • ✕You want to buy reviews or publish invented patient testimonials.

Healthcare work is scoped per practice. A website is a fixed project fee, and SEO or campaigns are a monthly retainer. You get a written scope and cost range before you commit.

Choosing a healthcare digital marketing agency

Ask four questions before you sign. Will a doctor on your side review every medical claim before it is published? How does the agency handle before-and-after images and patient testimonials? What data leaves your website for ad platforms? And does the monthly report show booked consultations, or only clicks and followers? An agency that cannot answer all four clearly can put your practice and your reputation at risk.

What a clinic website needs

Build each treatment page to answer what a patient would ask in the first five minutes of a consultation:

  • What the treatment is and who it suits
  • What happens on the day, and how long recovery takes
  • Risks and side effects, stated plainly
  • A cost range, if your practice is comfortable sharing one
  • Which doctor performs it, with qualifications and registration details
  • A booking form, a WhatsApp button and a call button

Add a profile page for every doctor, a page for every location with a map, hours and parking, and a CMS your team can use. Kayakriti asked for exactly that, so the clinic can add and update treatments without waiting on a developer. Our website development team builds for this kind of handover.

Advertising rules to respect

  • No promised outcomes. Avoid words such as guaranteed, permanent, painless or 100% in ads and on pages.
  • No personal attributes in ad copy. Meta rejects ads that imply the viewer has a condition, such as a headline asking whether they suffer from hair loss. Speak about the treatment instead.
  • No health-based remarketing. Google's personalised advertising policies restrict targeting people based on health conditions, so remarketing lists should not be built from treatment pages.
  • Consent for every testimonial. Get written consent for any patient story, photo or video, and never present one result as typical.

Within those limits, Google Ads for treatment searches in your area remain one of the most direct routes to new patients.

Hospital digital marketing: what changes at scale

A hospital is several practices under one brand. It needs a department page and doctor directory that the team can keep current, one Google Business Profile for each facility, and enquiry routing so a cardiology question reaches cardiology. Appointment reminders through lead nurturing automation can help with missed appointments, as long as patients have opted in and messages leave out sensitive detail.

Keep emergency information separate from marketing. A patient looking for the emergency number should never have to scroll past a promotional banner to find it.

FAQ

Questions people ask us

Are doctors in India allowed to advertise?

Doctors and clinics can publish accurate information about their services, qualifications, timings and location, but professional conduct rules restrict self-promotion and claims. Those rules have been revised in recent years, so we write conservatively, with facts about treatments and the practice, no superlatives, no promised outcomes and doctor approval on everything. For specific questions, check current National Medical Commission guidance or ask your legal adviser.

Can we use before-and-after photos?

Be very cautious. Meta does not allow before-and-after images in ads for cosmetic procedures and similar treatments. On your own website, use them only with the patient's written consent, show typical rather than best-case results, and state clearly that outcomes vary. Some practices choose to show them only during the consultation instead.

How do you protect patient privacy in marketing?

Enquiry forms ask only for what the front desk needs, and the data goes to your own systems. We do not pass treatment details or health information to ad platforms as tracking data, and we avoid remarketing based on the treatment pages someone viewed. We also help you collect consent in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, with your legal adviser confirming the final approach.

Which works better for a clinic, Google Ads or social media?

For most treatments, start with Google search and your Google Business Profile, because they reach people already looking for care nearby. Social media works better for education and for elective treatments where patients take longer to decide, such as cosmetic or dental procedures. Both should lead to the same clear treatment page and booking form.

Do you work with hospitals as well as single clinics?

Yes, and the approach scales. A hospital needs department and doctor pages, a page for each centre, and routing so enquiries reach the right desk rather than a general inbox. Our published healthcare case study so far is Kayakriti, a clinic where we built the website and automated lead nurturing, and which now generates 500+ leads a month. We will be clear with you about what we have and have not yet done at hospital scale.

How soon will a clinic see more enquiries?

Search campaigns can bring enquiries within days of going live, and Business Profile fixes often help within a few weeks. Organic rankings for treatment searches take longer, usually several months, depending on your city and specialty. We report enquiries by source every month, so you can see which channel is working and which is not.
