Real estate SEO that makes your projects easy to find
Project pages, locality pages, developer brand searches, Google Business Profiles for site offices and visibility in AI Overviews. Search that keeps bringing buyers after the launch budget runs out.
Real estate SEO matters because buyers search at every stage of a decision that takes months. Early on they search localities and configurations, such as 3 BHK flats in a particular area. Later they search your project name, your company name and your company name with the word reviews, long before they call. If your own website does not appear for those searches, listing portals and review sites answer for you.
That was the starting point for Motwani Constructions, one of Bhubaneswar's best-known developers, whose website sometimes did not show up even for its own brand name. After we restructured the site around search best practice and followed up with a content plan, its ranking keywords grew from 8 to 115 within 90 days. Read the Motwani Constructions case study.
Our real estate SEO covers four kinds of search: project names, localities and configurations, the developer brand, and nearby searches that show a site office on Google Maps. It also covers AI answers, where Google AI Overviews and assistants such as ChatGPT now summarise projects and developers. The foundations are the same as our wider SEO services, tuned to the way property buyers search.
What we do for you
Project pages that rank
One indexable page per project with configurations, price band, floor plans, RERA details, location and FAQs, targeting the project name and its category searches.
Locality and configuration pages
Pages for searches such as flats or plots in a specific area, written with real distances, prices and infrastructure rather than generic area descriptions.
Developer brand searches
Your own site, not a portal or complaint forum, should own the results for your company name, with track record, completed projects and leadership.
Google Business Profile for site offices
A verified profile for each staffed site office and sales lounge, with the correct map pin, hours, photos and a steady stream of genuine reviews.
AI Overviews and assistants
Direct answers, structured data and consistent facts, so Google AI Overviews and assistants such as ChatGPT describe your projects correctly and cite your site.
Technical SEO
Fast pages on phones, project details in crawlable text instead of image-only brochures, schema markup, and clean redirects when projects sell out.
Content for buyers
Guides to localities, home loans, stamp duty and buying stages, written with the specifics your sales team hears on calls and site visits.

Who this works for
Good fit
- You build in the same city or region year after year, so rankings keep paying off across projects.
- You have, or will build, a website with a separate page for each project.
- Your sales team can share the questions buyers ask on calls and at the site office.
Not a fit
- ✕You have one project to sell out within three months. Paid campaigns suit that better.
- ✕You want guaranteed first-page rankings. Nobody controls Google's results.
- ✕Project details such as configurations and price bands cannot be published on the website.
Real estate SEO is a monthly retainer priced on the number of projects, localities and pages needed, and on competition in your city. You get a written scope and cost range after the audit, before you commit.
A real estate SEO plan for a developer
Own your brand searches first
Search your company name, each project name, and both with the word reviews. Note who ranks. If a portal, an old news story or a complaint forum appears above your site, fix that before chasing locality keywords. A clear track record page, leadership profiles, a page for every completed project and consistent contact details across listings usually move brand results first.
Give every project a page Google can read
A common problem is project information locked inside images, sliders and a PDF brochure. Put configurations, carpet areas, the price band, amenities, the RERA number and FAQs in real text. Use one page per project, keep its address stable for years, and never delete it when the project sells out.
Build locality pages only where you build
A locality page earns its place with facts a buyer cannot get from a portal: travel times to real offices, schools and hospitals, infrastructure that has been officially announced, and how your projects there are priced. Fifty thin pages for areas you do not build in will not help. Five genuinely useful ones can.
Set up site office profiles properly
Create a Google Business Profile for each staffed site office, pick accurate categories, add real photos, and ask buyers for reviews after their visit. Keep the business name as it appears on your signage. Adding keywords to it breaks Google's guidelines and risks suspension. Our local SEO service covers the full setup.
Write so AI answers can quote you
AI Overviews and assistants lift short, factual passages. Answer buyer questions directly, keep project facts identical everywhere they appear, and add structured data. The AI Overviews case study shows what that achieved for one developer, and our AI SEO page explains the method.
What results look like
Z Estates has built in Odisha since 1984, but its website ranked for only 4 keywords and drew 136 visits a month. After a redesign and an SEO programme covering technical fixes, on-page work and content, ranking keywords grew to 95 and monthly visits to 758 between October 2023 and April 2024. See the Z Estates case study.
Mistakes that cost developers rankings
- Launching a new website without redirecting old project URLs
- Deleting sold-out project pages
- One page trying to rank for every locality at once
- Buying bulk backlinks from unrelated sites
- Publishing different prices or configurations on the website, portals and Business Profile
Questions people ask us
How long does real estate SEO take to show results?
Technical and on-page fixes can move rankings within 6 to 12 weeks. Motwani Constructions went from 8 to 115 ranking keywords in 90 days, and Z Estates grew from 4 to 95 over about six months. Competitive cities and new domains take longer, which is why SEO works best alongside paid campaigns during a launch.
Should each project have its own website or a page on our main site?
For SEO, a strong project page on your main domain usually builds more lasting value, because every project adds authority to the same brand. A separate microsite still makes sense for a launch that needs its own look and fast ad performance. Many developers run both, a microsite for campaigns and a project page on the main site for search.
What should happen to a project page after the project sells out?
Keep it live. A sold-out project page still ranks for the project name, proves your track record and answers buyers who check your history. Mark it as completed, add possession photos and link to your current projects. Deleting it throws away links and rankings, and sends people searching for the old project to a portal instead.
Can you get our projects into Google AI Overviews?
Nobody can guarantee inclusion, but you can make your site the easiest source to cite. That means direct answers to common buyer questions, consistent facts across your site and listings, structured data and fast pages. For one developer that already ranked on page one, this approach earned visibility for 25+ high-value keywords across AI Overviews and page one within six months.
Does each site office need its own Google Business Profile?
If the site office or sales lounge is staffed at a fixed address during stated hours, yes. Buyers often check Google Maps before a visit, and a verified profile with the right pin, hours, photos and genuine reviews helps them arrive. Google's guidelines accept staffed sales offices but not model flats or unstaffed sites, so we only create profiles for real, staffed places.
Why do listing portals outrank our project pages?
Portals have years of authority and a vast number of pages linking to each other. You will rarely beat them for a broad search like flats in a city, but you can beat them for your project name, your brand and specific locality and configuration searches, where a detailed page from the developer is the better answer. That is where we focus first.
